You can use the Allen Bradley PT1 hand held terminal as a standalone device (for remote programming development with 1747 NP1 or NP2 power supply), point to point communication (one HHT to one controller), or on a DH 485 network (communicate with up to 31 nodes over a maximum of 4,000 feet or 1219 meters). When equipped with a battery (1747BA), the HHT retains a user program in memory for storage and later use.
