I/O - 1771 modules give a full range of I/O functions for many applications. For convenience, due to the Removal and insertion Under Power (RIUP) features, it is not necessary that the wiring be disconnected to replace modules. PLC-5 I/O are 512-3,072 maximum in any mix, and up to 50,176 max non-forcible. 1771 modules are processor-resident local I/O, and extended local I/O. Other features include universal remove, DeviceNet, and ControlNet on select processors.
