The Mini-PLC-2 programmable controller is a microprocessor-based controller for industrial applications. Adaptable in size and configuration, it can monitor and control up to 128 input and output (I/O) devices.

The controller has a central control unit - the Mini-processor Module, and a number of user-selected I/O modules, chosen for the number of user selected I/O devices in the application. By selecting the appropriate modules, a user assembles his mini-PLC-2 controller around the requirements of his application.

The selected I/O modules and the Mini-processor Module are all housed in a single Chassis which can be mounted within an enclosure of 8-inch working depth.

During program operation, the The Allen-Bradley mini PLC-2 processor continuously monitors the status of input devices, user programs, and output devices. The memory is programmable and can be readily changed if required by the application.

In addition, the PLC-2 controller can perform the following: timing/counting, arithmetic operations, data comparisons, block transfers, I/O forcing, and data highway and RS-232C interfacing.
